Created by the US Armed Forces before they left this South Pacific Island after the Second World War. The new government of Vanuatu didn’t come up with the asking price for all the heavy machinery used on the US Forces base previously established here. So when the US closed their base they dumped the machinery into the sea.
This is the result 50 years on….
